I'm Marlon Breaux, a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice in Midtown Oklahoma City. I hold an M.Ed. in Applied Behavioral Studies from Oklahoma City University and have been licensed in Oklahoma since 2012.

This is a solo practice. When you work with me, you work with me. There's no intake coordinator, no rotating associate, no handoff. I see a limited number of clients so I can give each one my full attention.

I'm a gay man and a secular therapist. I say that plainly because it matters to the people I work with. Many of my clients have spent years in rooms where they had to translate themselves, edit what they said, or brace for judgment. That's not what happens here. If I can hold space without judgment for the most marginalized identities in Oklahoma, I can hold space for yours, wherever you fall on the spectrum of identity, belief, or background.

I'm trauma-informed and affirming. I work with adults individually. I don't see children, teens, couples, or families. My practice is focused by design: I work best with people doing the specific, hard work of untangling what they were taught from what they actually believe, and what they were told they were from who they actually are.

I specialize in religious trauma because Oklahoma is one of the most religiously saturated states in the country. The Bible Belt is not a metaphor here. It's the water people grew up in. And for a lot of people, leaving it, or questioning it, or just quietly not believing anymore, comes with a particular kind of loneliness that most therapists aren't equipped to understand. I am.

If you're carrying something you've never been able to say out loud, this is the room for it.
